When it was established eight years ago, the Tamar Center had an ambitious vision: to stimulate and strengthen the community spirit among Arab-Bedouin society in the Negev and to create new opportunities for it to ensure a promising future for all members of the community and the country in general.

The Tamar Center has established a center for learning and training in the Negev that provides Bedouin students in grades 9-11 with the opportunity to complete their high school studies with the best tools and resources, empowering them as integrated citizens into the country’s society and economy. The educational model includes teaching science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The formal and informal systems complement each other to promote excellence and connection to society and its development.
